Join exhibiting artist, Julie Rrap, ahead of her artist talk for an exclusive Member morning tea. Enjoy light refreshments and a tea/coffee while you spend some time with Julie.

Julie Rrap has been a major figure in Australian contemporary art for over forty years. Since the mid-1970s, she has worked with photography, painting, sculpture, performance and video in an on-going project concerned with representations of the body. In 1995, a survey of her work was held at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Melbourne and in 2007, the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia held a major retrospective of her work titled Body Double, curated by Victoria Lynn. In 2020, Rrap’s seminal series Persona and Shadows was shown at the National Gallery of Australia in the group exhibition Know My Name: Australian Women Artists 1900 to Now, one of the most comprehensive exhibitions of art by women ever assembled in Australia.

Please note: RMOA Member Morning Tea will run from 9.30am to 10.00am, followed by the public Artist Talk. If you wish to reserve tickets to the Artist Talk, please ensure you do so separately here.
