Rockhampton Museum of Art welcomes Queensland's leading chamber musicians who will premiere new music inspired by RMOA Collection: Women and the National Gallery's Touring Exhibition, Know My Name: Australian Women Artists.

Join Camerata - Queensland's Chamber Orchestra at this intimate concert experience exclusive to RMOA as Queensland's leading chamber musicians perform this special musical score, taking the audience on a unique, immersive musical experience where musician and composer collaborate to create new music that explores the core theme of the exhibitions - the celebration of women artists.

Don't miss this sensational evening of music performed inside RMOA's Long Gallery and Atrium.

TICKETED | 6.30pm - 8.30pm, $60.00 - includes canape menu with drinks available for purchase in the venue. Tickets are limited, bookings essential.

About Camerata

Performing without a conductor, Camerata proudly takes full ownership of their music-making in the spirit of chamber music to form a thriving, refreshing and acclaimed voice to empower artists, inspire audiences and enrich communities through music. With a reputation for innovation and interesting and adventurous programming, the ensemble, guided by Artistic Director Brendan Joyce, is flexible in its repertoire and thrives in collaborations with artists from all art forms.

Camerata employs over 130 artists across 50 concerts each year. The group of Artistic Associates is committed to providing performance and training opportunities for the next generation of Queensland artists as well as enriching communities across Queensland. This includes the commissioning of a new Australian work, free public performances, education engagements and workshops with local schools and students and visits to residents in aged care facilities.
